10-Year Warranty for Your CIGSOR
Version 2.0 · Last updated: 30 July 2026
Every CIGSOR sensor is designed for long-term use and manufactured in Switzerland using high-quality materials.
X-SOR AG grants a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty for the complete physical CIGSOR sensor for a period of 10 years from the original date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship as well as functional failures occurring during normal and intended use.
Your statutory warranty and defect rights against the seller are neither restricted nor replaced by this warranty.
1. Warranty provider
The warranty provider is:
X-SOR AGMüligässli 18598 BottighofenSwitzerland
Email: support@cigsor.com
2. Covered products
The warranty applies to the following CIGSOR editions:
CIGSOR Classic
CIGSOR Premium
CIGSOR Luxury
The product must have been purchased as a new product directly from X-SOR AG or from an authorised CIGSOR dealer.
The warranty may be claimed during the remaining warranty period upon presentation of valid proof of purchase.
3. Warranty period
The warranty period is 10 years from the original date of purchase.
The relevant date is the date shown on the invoice, sales receipt or order confirmation. If the purchase date cannot be proven, X-SOR AG may use the manufacturing or delivery date as the starting point.
A warranty claim must be reported within the warranty period. Once discovered, the defect should be reported without undue delay.
4. Scope of the warranty
The warranty applies to the complete physical CIGSOR sensor and covers verifiable:
defects in materials;
defects in workmanship;
design-related functional failures;
failures of the integrated measurement or communication electronics;
malfunctions arising during normal and intended use.
The warranty relates to the sensor’s essential functions and technical performance during normal use.
Purely cosmetic changes that do not impair the sensor’s functionality do not constitute a warranty claim.
5. Warranty remedies
If a valid warranty claim exists, X-SOR AG will, at its discretion, provide either:
a free repair of the product; or
a free replacement with a technically equivalent product.
A replacement product may be new or professionally refurbished. If the original model is no longer available, it may be replaced with a technically and qualitatively equivalent successor model.
The warranty remedy includes the required replacement parts, labour and reasonable standard shipping costs for a valid warranty claim.
Replaced products and components become the property of X-SOR AG.
6. Exclusions
The warranty does not apply in particular to:
batteries and other consumables;
damage caused by leaking or unsuitable batteries;
normal wear and age-related changes;
scratches, discolouration or other purely cosmetic signs of use;
changes to surfaces or coatings caused by normal use;
damage caused by dropping, impact, crushing or excessive force;
damage caused by the direct ingress of water or other liquids;
damage caused by fire, extreme heat, frost or unusual environmental conditions;
improper use, storage, cleaning or maintenance;
use outside the intended application;
damage caused by unsuitable accessories or non-recommended components;
unauthorised repairs, interventions or modifications;
damage caused by the use of non-original components;
loss or theft;
damage caused intentionally or negligently;
damage occurring during transport that was not coordinated with X-SOR AG;
network, Wi-Fi, router, internet or power-supply problems that are not caused by a sensor defect.
The warranty also does not apply if serial numbers, sensor IDs or other product identifiers have been removed, made illegible or altered.
7. App, cloud services and external infrastructure
The CIGSOR app is included in the CIGSOR offering without a recurring subscription fee.
The 10-year manufacturer’s warranty applies to the physical CIGSOR sensor. The applicable business, usage and privacy terms of the respective providers apply to the app, cloud connections, operating systems, app stores, Wi-Fi networks, internet connections and third-party services.
The availability of individual digital functions may depend on compatible devices, operating systems, networks, app stores, security updates and technical infrastructure.
Statutory rights relating to digital elements or connected services remain unaffected.
8. Making a warranty claim
Please do not send the product to us without contacting us first.
To report a warranty claim, contact CIGSOR Support at:
Please provide, where possible:
your name and contact details;
the sales receipt or order confirmation;
the purchase date;
the CIGSOR model;
the sensor ID or serial number;
a description of the problem;
where applicable, photos, screenshots or further technical information.
X-SOR AG may first carry out fault analysis or provide technical support. This often allows issues that are not caused by a hardware defect to be resolved without returning the product.
9. Returns and shipping costs
If a return is required, CIGSOR Support will provide the relevant return address and further instructions.
For a valid warranty claim, X-SOR AG will bear the necessary standard return shipping costs. Depending on your location, X-SOR AG will provide a return label or reimburse reasonable shipping costs agreed in advance.
Please use suitable packaging that protects the product during transport and retain proof of shipment.
Express, special or additional costs incurred without prior agreement will only be reimbursed if expressly approved.
10. Claims not covered by the warranty
If inspection shows that:
there is no product defect;
the reported fault cannot be reproduced;
the damage falls under a warranty exclusion; or
the product was damaged through improper use,
X-SOR AG will inform the customer of the inspection result.
Any costs for repair, return shipping or further processing will only be charged after the customer has been informed in advance and has agreed to the charges.
11. Warranty period after repair or replacement
A repair or replacement does not generally start a new 10-year warranty period.
The remaining warranty period of the originally purchased product applies to repaired or replacement products, but in all cases for at least 90 days from the date on which the repaired or replacement product is returned.
Any longer mandatory statutory periods remain unaffected.
12. Relationship to returns and refunds
This manufacturer’s warranty provides a right to repair or replacement in accordance with these warranty terms.
It does not, by itself, create a right to return the product or obtain a refund of the purchase price.
Voluntary or statutory rights of return, withdrawal, warranty and remedies for defects remain unaffected and are governed by the applicable law and by the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use of X-SOR AG.
13. Statutory rights
This warranty is provided in addition to the customer’s statutory rights.
In the event of a defective product, consumers may have statutory rights against the seller, including rights to free repair, replacement or other remedies provided by law.
These rights are neither restricted nor replaced by the voluntary 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Consumers also retain any mandatory protections and mandatory places of jurisdiction applicable in the country of their habitual residence.
14. Liability
The warranty covers only the remedies relating to the CIGSOR product expressly stated in these warranty terms.
CIGSOR is an aid for monitoring humidity, temperature and other humidor values. Its use does not replace regular inspection of the humidor and the cigars stored in it.
To the extent permitted by law, the manufacturer’s warranty does not include compensation for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or damage to cigars, humidors or other property.
This limitation does not apply in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, personal injury, mandatory product-liability law or other cases in which liability may not legally be excluded or limited.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
This warranty is governed by Swiss law, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is the registered office of X-SOR AG.
Mandatory consumer rights and mandatory places of jurisdiction at the consumer’s place of residence remain unaffected.
